Worcester have moved to sign 6 foot 8 power forward Stanley Ocitti.
Ocitti, 32, joins from Australian side Cockburn Cougars, for who he averaged 22 points and 13 rebounds per game last season.
The American and Dutch dual national has had stints in Europe and Canada, as well as Down Under, and will combine playing with studying at the University of Worcester.
He said: “I’m really excited to be joining the Wolves organisation. I have heard a lot of positive things about basketball in the BBL from my friends who have played in the league.
“I am looking forward to contributing to the team in any way needed. After a long summer I can’t wait to get back on the court and start playing basketball.”
The arrival of Ocitti will provide a welcome boost for coach Paul James, who has admitted he is unlikely to be able to retain Tommy Freeman for next season.
Worcester get their new BBL campaign underway at home to Durham Wildcats on Saturday 22nd September.
