Worcester maintained their winning run in front of their own fans on Saturday, much to the delight of Director of Basketball Paul James.
The Wolves have now put together four consecutive wins, the first of three of which came away from home, and their only loss in six outings this season was at the University of Worcester, 85-62 at the hands of Plymouth Raiders.
They defeated Guildford 88-77 in the BBL Cup on Saturday, to set up a last eight trip to Mersey Tigers, and that was the third time they had beaten the Heat this season already.
James told the club’s official website: “It was a bit of a slow start, a bit of a nervous start. We had the added pressure to repeat our good road form here at home, but we came through well.”
As well as three wins over the Heat, the Wolves have opened up their league campaign with victory – beating Glasgow Rocks 78-73 at Kelvin Hall – but they missed out on a place in the last four of the BBL Trophy, despite their away win over the Raiders.
