Wobbly Jets see off Wildcats

Bill Cole topped the points for the second time in the weekend to fire Cheshire Jets to a morale-boosting victory over Durham Wildcats.

Bill Cole topped the points for the second time in the weekend to fire Cheshire Jets to a morale-boosting victory over Durham Wildcats.

Having thrown away an 18 point advantage to surrender to local rivals Mersey Tigers in overtime, John Lavery’s side were desperate to gain revenge against their north east opponents, who had beaten them in an early reverse fixture between the two.

The Jets managed to hold the Wildcats at arms length for much of the match, but for the second time in three days, they allowed their opponents back in the game.

Fortunately for Cheshire, this time, they were able to keep the Wildcats at bay, with Cole finishing with 22 points to gain them much-needed revenge.
