Wierzbicki backs Hardy for MVP

Leicester guard Bradd Wierzbicki heaped praise on team-mate Ayron Hardy, following his second consecutive triple-double in the weekend’s win over Sheffield.

Leicester guard Bradd Wierzbicki heaped praise on team-mate Ayron Hardy, following his second consecutive triple-double in the weekend’s win over Sheffield.

Forward Hardy posted stats of 15 rebounds, 13 assists and 20 points, playing in all but 10 seconds of the 97-86 win over the Sharks.

Wierzbicki told the club’s official website: “I can’t say enough about Ayron Hardy.

“He’s so unselfish on the court and he does every little thing that you need; not only his points, rebounds and assists, but the amount of deflections he gets on the defensive end. It’s perhaps something that some don’t pay attention to, but we notice it. If he’s not in discussion for MVP come the end of the season, there is something wrong.”

Hardy is likely to face some stiff competition for the MVP award, with Worcester’s Tommy Freeman and Newcastle’s Joe Chapman just two amongst a raft of players fancied to be competing for the end of the season gong.

Who do you think will win the MVP award?
