Unfinished business at Leicester for Rundles

Leicester fans favourite Cameron Rundles has hinted that he would like to return to the John Sandford Centre for next season.

Leicester fans favourite Cameron Rundles has hinted that he would like to return to the John Sandford Centre for next season.

The point guard had a tough day at the office in the BBL season finale on Saturday, eventually being fouled out with 73 seconds remaining, having spent much of the second half on four fouls.

But it shouldn’t take away from what has been an excellent rookie year for the 24-year-old, a year in which he played in all but three of the Riders’ championship matches and built up such a rapport with the club’s fans.

He said: “It was a disappointing end, we had a great season, but when you come away with no hardware, maybe you’ve got to come back. There’s unfinished business there.

“I want to come back. I want to see my options of course, but I’m considering coming back and being around the community.

“I love it here. It was a tough game on myself personally, but the fans make me feel better, and I really appreciate it here.”
