Sullivan in no rush to decide on future

Leicester Riders’ forward Drew Sullivan has admitted he has not yet made his mind up where he will play his Basketball next year.

Leicester Riders’ forward Drew Sullivan has admitted he has not yet made his mind up where he will play his Basketball next year.

Sullivan, 32, enjoyed a fruitful season with Leicester but fell just short of success after suffering defeat in the BBL play-off final on Saturday against Newcastle Eagles.

Great Britain captain Sullivan, who will skipper his country in the upcoming Olympics, has his mind set firmly on resting before committing to his duties at London 2012.

He told the club’s official website: “Next season? Right now, all I’m concerned about is taking a break and in all honesty that’s what’s on my mind.”

Sullivan conceded that now is not the right time to contemplate his future.

“It’s been a long season with a disappointing end. The last thing I’m going to be doing is rushing into thinking about what I’m going to be doing next season.”

Depending on his form and fitness during and after the Olympics, Sullivan will not be short of offers when it comes to where he starts the 2012/2013 season.
