SKY’s Routledge – Bolds is one to watch

SKY Sports commentator Daniel Routledge says fans should keep an eye out for MK Lions’ Demarius Bolds in tonight’s live match – and BBL coaches should too!

Bolds has been a stand out player for the Lions despite their indifferent start to the campaign, and coach Mike New will be looking for a big performance from his star man when they host Worcester Wolves on SKY Sports 3 (7.30pm tip).

Writing in his blog on the SKY Sports website, Routledge said: “Talk to any BBL coach about the Lions and the first two words out of their mouth will be Demarius Bolds.

“I’ve seen a lot of Bolds since he joined the Lions halfway through last season and if I was a BBL coach I’d have nightmares trying to work out how to guard him.

“As well as leading the league in scoring, he tops the charts in steals and is fourth in assists, so he makes a big difference at both ends of the floor.

“With a weapon like that on their team, you wouldn’t expect the Lions to be second-bottom in the table. Talking to coach, Mike New, it is his team’s lack of consistency that has been frustrating him the most.”
