Leicester Riders have signed former University of Missouri forward Jay Couisnard.
Couisnard was named in the All Star Conference second team in his senior year, and is ranked eleventh in his university’s all-time point scoring chart.
Rider’s Head Coach Rob Paternostro said: “Jay was one of those players that you see and our immediately intrigued by his ability. He has a lot of talent and has a chance to be a very good professional.
“He is a versatile player that can play multiple positions which should give us numerous options on how we can play. His last two seasons at UMKC were both extremely productive, and individually and team wise Jay was a standout performer.
“Jay put up very good scoring numbers at UMKC, he can score in many ways but he also can rebound very well and was very disruptive on the defensive end. He is an athletic player that we are all excited to be able to watch play and be a part of his basketball development.”
The Riders will play a USA Select side on September 14 and 15, both games tipping off at 7pm.
