Riders coach in bizarre email hoax

A hoax email was sent round this morning claiming that Leicester Riders head coach Rob Paternostro was stranded in Spain.

The email read: “I’m stuck in Madrid with family right now, we came down here on vacation, we were robbed, worse (sic) of it was that our bags, cash, credit cards and cell phone were stolen from us at GUN POINT, it’s such a crazy experience for us, we need help flying back home. Good thing is that we still have our passports but don’t have enough money to clear the hotel bills, please I need you to loan me €2,150 Euro, I’ll reimburse you as soon as I’m back home.”

Leicester Riders stated: “Rob’s email has been hacked and we all received the email at the office. We found this quite odd since Rob turned up at the office this morning. We have received many phone calls regarding this email and are investigating the issue promptly.”

The Riders next face the MK Lions this weekend on the 29th October where Mr. Paternostro will be in attendance.
