Plymouth the only BBL club for Ojo

American Michael Ojo has ruled out a move to a rival British club if he returns to the BBL.

American Michael Ojo has ruled out a move to a rival British club if he returns to the BBL.

The 22-year-old guard, who is currently back in his native California for the off-season, stated that if he came back to England next season he would ‘definitely be coming back to Plymouth’.

However, the Lehigh University graduate is also open to offers from a Europe. His performances this season have been at a consistently high level and if this attracts bigger clubs Ojo will have to make a decision.

The knock down effect of last year’s NBA lockout meant Europe was flooded with talent and some players were forced down the pecking order. With no lockout this year it could be the opposite and players like Ojo could be given an opportunity to move up.

While the Raiders will probably be hoping to retain him, coach Gavin Love will not commit to offering contracts to anyone this early so that his options are also open.
