Plymouth have signed former Mersey Tigers forward Jamal Williams.
Williams, 25, was part of the Tigers’ treble-winning team last season and links up with the Raiders in time for their BBL Cup semi-final with Worcester this weekend.
He said: “I’m delighted to be in Plymouth.
“I’m really looking forward to the rest of the BBL season with the Raiders and getting started this weekend with the BBL Cup semi-finals.”
The Canadian-born man, who has a British passport, will link up with former Tigers team-mate James Jones on the south coast.
Head Coach Gavin Love added: “”I was impressed with Jamal’s contribution last season for Mersey in limited minutes especially in the last few months.
“Its great to have Jamal joining us, we have been extremely short in recent weeks in term of having guys at practice and to get a player of Jamal’s quality to add to the squad is a real bonus for the whole team.”
