Newcastle player-coach Fab Flournoy has been named as BBL Coach of the Month for October.
The Eagles have been in impressive form as they look to put behind them a rare trophyless season last term.
Despite the absence of veteran scorer Charles Smith, the Eagles have won five out of six in the opening weeks of the season, including two wins over much fancied Sheffield.
Flournoy has guided his troops in to the semi-finals of the BBL Trophy, and they will face Glasgow Rocks in the quarter finals of the BBL Cup.
And the Eagles are already sitting pretty at the top of the BBL Championship.
In November, they face MK Lions (H), Glasgow (Cup, H), Cheshire Jets (A), Plymouth (H) and Leicester (A).
