Milton Keynes Lions are to move into the Copper Box Arena in London’s Olympic Park and be rebranded as the London Lions.

Milton Keynes Lions are to move into the Copper Box Arena in London’s Olympic Park and be rebranded as the London Lions.

Chief executive Vince Macaulay has worked tirelessly to find a new venue for the Lions, after they were forced to look elsewhere following no availability in MK.

The 6,000 capacity Copper Box, which has hosted the Olympics handball competition, will be their new home from 2013/14, and they will play at the Crystal Palace National Indoor Arena in south London for the upcoming BBL campaign.

Their first home game is scheduled for September 23rd against Newcastle Eagles.

Work is underway on a new club logo, and the Lions will be changing from their traditional black and gold colours.
