MK Lions continue hunt for new home

MK Lions are still without a home for the new season – despite the fixtures for the new BBL campaign being released yesterday.

Owner Vince Macaulay has been working day and night to find a new venue for the Lions, after they forced out of their previous home by the landlord’s decision to sell up.

Macaulay is thought to be close to securing a venue for the 2012/13 campaign, which begins in September.

He had hinted that a move away from Milton Keynes might be an option, if a suitable base within the city cannot be found.

Owner of the MK Dons football club, Pete Winkelman, has offered the club use of the arena at stadium:MK for big games, but admits that having a permanent base for the basketball club there would be unfeasible.
