Milestone hunting Davis wants Glasgow rocking

Glasgow Rocks player/coach Sterling Davis is on the verge of two remarkable records leading up to this weekend in the BBL.

Glasgow Rocks player/coach Sterling Davis is on the verge of two remarkable records leading up to this weekend in the BBL.

Davis, who has been playing in the BBL since 2002, needs just three points in Friday’s clash against Worcester to register 5000 BBL Championship career points.

And if he lands two free throws over the weekend, he will reach the milestone of 1000 career successes from the line.

Davis, 33, started his BBL career at Brighton Bears before moving on to London Towers and Sheffield Sharks, and then moving to Scotland for the start of the 2006/07 season.

The Rocks will hope that Davis can drive his side on this weekend, as they have two home matches to kick-start their league season.

Worcester are the visitors to Kelvin Hall on Friday and the Rocks will be looking to continue their run over the Wolves, who they beat three times in the league last season.

On Sunday, Milton Keynes make the journey north.
