Leicester Riders’ centre Barry Lamble has confirmed his desire to stay on at the club next season; citing personal reasons as the major factor in his decision.
Lamble, 29, considered his options before deciding that he would to continue to live in the city of Leicester, where he is currently settled with his family.
The centre said: “I like Leicester personally. It would be the perfect option for me. There are always options that come in over the year but then you’ve got to look at your wife who works in Leicester, we’ve got a house, so we’re settled.”
Coach Rob Paternostro was expected to sit down with the club this week to discuss plans for next season.
The Riders enjoyed their best ever finish in the BBL last season, finishing runners-up to Newcastle in the championship table, and also losing to the Eagles in the play-off final.
