It was a frustrating night for Cheshire Jets as centre Matt Schneck suffered an ankle injury in the defeat to Newcastle Eagles.
Schneck, 23, has been one of the Jets key players as they’ve made an inconsistent start to the new campaign, although they pushed league leaders Newcastle all the way on Sunday night.
Speaking on his Twitter account after the game, the American confirmed that he had suffered a sprain.
He tweeted: “@CheshireJets Fans: X Rays negative. Ankle is sprained. Long way from the heart, will survive. Rehab starts tomorrow. Thanks for the love.”
Schneck averaged 18.3 points per game in 22 appearances for the Jets last term.
