Freeman banned for Tigers clash

Worcester will be without free-scoring American forward Tommy Freeman for the game against Mersey Tigers on Friday through suspension.

Freeman picked up a one-game ban following two unsportsmanlike fouls in the recent match against Leicester Riders.

It may pose a problem for Paul James, as England international David Watts is struggling with a fractured rib.

Watts said: “It’s painful, but there’s not much anyone can do about, so we’ll strap it up.

“We’ve played them a handful of times, and won them all but we’ve struggled in the first half against them and had to execute well down the stretch to win. We need to start well build a lead and be aggressive at both ends of the floor.”
