Glasgow pair Mychal Green and Gareth Murray believe the Rocks can be right in the hunt for silverware at the end of the season.

The Rocks have made a promising start to the new campaign, including Friday’s 92-62 thumping of last season’s treble-winners Mersey Tigers.

Green said: “Our goal is to keep improving at every game, at every practise as the season goes on. And if we can keep doing that, then I am positive that we have a very successful team.

“We’ve improved a lot since the start of the season, when we lost big on the road to Newcastle – so we just hope to keep getting better and hopefully make some noise at the end of the season.”

Murray has returned to Scotland following a season with the Cheshire Jets, and he is excited at the Rocks’ prospects this term.

He said: “The team is really gelling together nicely at the moment, there is some really good camaraderie on the bench and on the court.

“(We want) to win as many games as possible, that’s the goal every season for the team. And to get as far as we can in every competition – we’ve been knocked out of the Trophy, but the Cup and League are still there.”
