Davis hopeful of EJ return

Glasgow coach Sterling Davis is hoping that point guard EJ Harrison will return to the Rocks line-up for the weekend’s clash against Guildford.

Harrison has been missing for the past three weeks, while Davis himself only managed a handful of minutes on his return from injury against Newcastle last weekend.

Davis said: “Both EJ and myself are trying to get back to full strength as soon as possible. EJ is feeling better every day and we are taking as that. With my Achilles injury, you have to tread lightly in recovering.

“It’s not something you can risk playing through so I’m gradually trying to work my way back.”

The 89-85 defeat to the Eagles saw the Rocks slip below Worcester in to third place in the BBL table, but they will be favourites to beat a Guildford side which is yet to taste victory this season.

Davis added: “I haven’t seen the Heat team with their new additions. I know they have gotten proven BBL players in Mike Copeland and Shaun Durant. Put that with all the other experience they have retained and they are a good team.”
