Glasgow Rocks player-coach Sterling Davis expects Newcastle to be one of the teams to beat this season ahead of their BBL Trophy clash this weekend.
The Eagles have one foot in the semi-finals of the BBL Trophy, and the Rocks have it all to do to prevent their opponents reaching the last four.
Davis told the club’s official website: “They will be one of the teams to beat this season because they have so much experience within the group.
“I think Joe Chapman and Charles Smith will be the catalyst of their strong group.”
First up this weekend for the Rocks is a trip to Durham Wildcats, a game they must win before overturning a 22 point deficit on the Eagles in Sunday night’s clash.
Davis added: “I will tell the players what I have told them from the beginning, and that is focussing on winning the game and let everything else take care of itself.”
