A late three pointer from David Watts ensured Worcester kept their grip on second place in the BBL, as the chase heats up.

Wins for Plymouth and Leicester, who both have games in hand on the Wolves, has Paul James’ men looking over their shoulder in what has been an excellent season for them.

They just about did enough to beat Glasgow on Saturday, winning 64-61 thanks to Watts’ late show.

It means they are level on five losses with both the Raiders and Riders, who will both share identical records with the Wolves if they win their games in hand.

Either way, 2011/12 will be Worcester’s best season in the BBL.

James told the club’s official website: “It wasn’t a pretty game, the Rocks took us out of our rhythm. We drew up a play at the end and David Watts stayed cool and made his shot.”
