Connor Washington pens three-year Riders deal

Great Britain Under 20’s international Connor Washington has signed a three-year deal with Leicester Riders.

Washington, 20, has recently enrolled at Loughborough college/university, and joined up with the Riders in February.

Coach Rob Paternostro told the club’s official website: “We are not surprised that he has been able to make an impact with GB and are proud of him.

“We feel like he is just scratching the surface with his potential as a basketball player and going into training camp he will have an oppurtunity to go out and compete for minutes with our basketball team.”

The point-guard is currently playing for GB in the Under 20s European Championships in Bulgaria, and previously played in the BBL with Milton Keynes Lions.
