Tonight see’s the Mersey Tigers hunt for another going up against the Cheshire Jets while Saturday sees a total of 2 championship games with the Durham Wildcats taking on the One Health Sharks Sheffield and the Worcester Wolves looking to bounce back from losses taking on the Mersey Tigers.
Sunday see’s Cheshire Jets play for the 2nd time and well as the Durham Wildcats playing their 2nd. The Glasgow Rocks take on the top of the league Newcastle Eagles while the Guildford Heat return from almost a month off by going up against the Worcester Wolves. The final game of the weekend see’s the Plymouth Raiders play the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders
Here are our weekends Fantasy Picks;
Forward – David Aliu – Mersey finally got a win last weekend against the Durham Wildcats and David was the first Tiger to gain a place in the BBL Team of the Week, look for him to continue with his consistent form this weekend when the Tigers go up against the Jets and Wolves.
Forward – Bill Cole – The Cheshire Jets play twice this weekend and with Bill being one of their best statistical providers it may be a good idea to pick him up. In last weekend game he filled the sheet with 28 fantasy points including 24 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist for good measure.
Forward – Andrew Thomson – Going up against the Rocks this weekend in what should be a closely contested game look for Andrew to continue his solid form after posting 19 fantasy points last weekend including 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Centre – Richie Gordon – After 40 fantasy points this past weekend against the MK Lions it’s hard not to select Richie as a fantasy player, he finished with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in that game and with the Wolves playing twice this weekend his fantasy value is sky high.
Guard – Sherrad Prezzie-Blue – The Wolves have a double-header this weekend going up against the lowly Guildford Heat and Mersey Tigers. Sherrad has been relatively in-consistent so far in fantasy play with the following points so far; 24, 5, 13, 29, 6, 10… look for him to hopefully bounce back this weekend.
Guard – Ralph Bucci – The Wildcats again play two games this weekend going up against both the Sharks and the Cheshire Jets. Ralph is currently the 6th ranked guard while averaging 25 fantasy points per game.
Guard – Mychal Green – 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists propelled Mychal to 32 Fantasy points last weekend in a win over the MK Lions, with the continued absence of E.J. Harrison Mychal will continue to dominate the stat-sheet.
Questionable –
If you don’t agree with our above selections here are 5 more players you should consider this weekend.
Forward – Colin O’Reilly – Currently averaging 21.8 fantasy points per game across 5 games Colin is one of the league’s highest point scorers, he finished with a disappointing 12 fantasy points last weekend but should see his numbers increase with the continued absence of Centre Matthew Schneck.
Forward – Marlon Capers – The Tigers recent addition; Marlon Capers has been relatively low on the fantasy score sheet so far, but getting more and more comfortable with the Tigers set-up look for him to have a solid weekend. Last weekend Marlon finished with 14 points, 1 assist and 2 rebounds but finished with 8 fantasy points due to his 5 fouls.
Centre – Mario Flaherty – As mentioned before it’s always useful to get players who play double-headers at it results in possible double points for that weekends games and with the Wildcats being one of the teams that play twice this weekend Mario is our 2nd choice Centre.
Guard – Joe Chapman – Finishing with 16 fantasy points last weekend after an 18 point, 7 rebound outing against the Plymouth Raiders is a positive, he did however add 5 turnovers and commit 2 fouls.
Guard – Adam Brown – In the Jets 4 point loss to the Eagles last weekend Adam finished with 20 fantasy points, he contributed 17 points, 8 assists and 7 steals but turnovers got the better of him finishing with 9 TO’s.
Drop –
Matthew Schneck – Injured
E.J. Harrison – Injured
