If you haven’t already signed up to the BBL Fantasy League head over to BBL Fantasy and create a team, each squad requires 3 Forwards, 3 Guards and 1 Centre and you have a limit of 2 players from each team and a total of 23 ‘Stars’, each player has a star rating ranging from 1 to 5 stars this week BBL Fans bring you our picks of who you should be selecting in your Fantasy Squad.
This weekend sees a total of 7 games in action with the first 3 taking place Friday night, all beginning with a 19:30 tip-off, The games taking place are; Mersey Tigers against the Guildford Heat, Newcastle Eagles at home to Worcester Wolves and One Health Sharks Sheffield taking on Prestige Homes MK Lions.
Saturday has the Durham Wildcats host the One Health Sharks Sheffield while the Worcester Wolves play host to the Glasgow Rocks.
Guildford Heat continue the hunt for their first home win in an early 15:00 tip-off against the un-defeated Newcastle Eagles, while a 16:00 tip see’s the Rocks travel all the way from Scotland to the South coast of Devon to play the Raiders.
Here are our weekends Fantasy Picks;
Forward – Demarius Bolds – Demarius racked up 90 fantasy points across 2 games, including 52 against the Durham Wildcats, across those two games contributed 66 points, 19 rebounds and 12 steals.
Forward – Gareth Murray – Gareth and his Rocks play twice this weekend, both away and after long road trips; they play the Wolves and Raiders, possibly the toughest game in their schedule. Gareth is currently 8th overall in fantasy points at 163 costing just 3 stars.
Forward – Mike Tuck – The Sharks play twice this weekend against both the MK Lions and the Durham Wildcats, he is one of the top forwards in the BBL and had 25 fantasy points in his teams last visit to Durham, his side are yet to play the MK Lions.
Centre – Darius Defoe – I sadly didn’t put Darius in my fantasy selection first team last week and he made me regret it, finishing with 39 fantasy points against the Mersey Tigers including 31 points and 18 rebounds, in what was a potential ‘line of the night’.
Guard – Joe Chapman – The Eagles play twice this weekend including a trip to bottom of the table Guildford Heat, he has 154 fantasy points this season and it 10th overall among all players.
Guard – Ralph Bucci – Ralph is the 2nd best fantasy guard so far this season behind only Mychal Green, he has a total of 210 points across 9 games and an average of 23.3 fantasy points per game; at a cost of 4 stars he is a great addition to any team.
Guard – Mychal Green – Mychal’s Rocks play both the Worcester Wolves and Plymouth Riders in what should be a long road trip, let’s see if the travel can slow down the November player of the month as nothing else can.
Questionable –
If you don’t agree with our above selections here are 5 more players you should consider this weekend.
Forward – Myles Hesson – Owned by just 5% of teams Myles has steadily improved all season, he is one of the top young players in the BBL and could be around for a long time, his Mersey Tigers host the Guildford Heat tonight.
Forward – Tayo Ogedengbe – The Heat continue their search for a win this weekend taking on both the Mersey Tigers and Newcastle Eagles, Tayo is the 12th overall forward and comes at a bargain cost of just 3 stars.
Centre – Richie Gordon – After posting a ridiculous 34 points 12 rebound double-double last weekend in the BBL Trophy it’s hard not to include the Wolves centre in my starting position. Richie is already the top overall Centre with a total of 177 fantasy points.
Guard – Drew Lasker – Drew retains his place on this list despite tough competition from guards league-wide, in two games he is averaging 20 fantasy points per game and is filling his role well for the Guildford Heat.
Guard – Paul Gause – Paul is one of the main cog’s that keeps the Eagles turning, the 6th overall guard is averaging 17.38 fantasy points per game over 8 games including 69 total points over his last 3, he should be good for at least 30 fantasy points in his two games this weekend.
Drop –
Matthew Schneck – Injured
E.J. Harrison – May be back this weekend.
