Worcester Wolves have opened talks with three of their star players with a view to retaining them for the 2012/2013 BBL season.

Worcester Wolves have opened talks with three of their star players with a view to retaining them for the 2012/2013 BBL season.

Richie Gordon, Tommy Freeman and Arnas Kazlauskas have been offered the chance to stay on at Worcester and build on their recent third-placed finish.

Director of Basketball at Worcester Wolves, Paul James, has moved quickly in an attempt to secure the futures of the starting five that led Wolves to their best BBL season yet. With Sherrad Prezzie-Blue and Carlos Fernandez already putting pen to paper, James knew he had to move quickly; telling Worcester News: “I have made them an offer to return next season and they are considering that but I am hopeful they will stay.”

Richie Gordon, in his debut season at Worcester, played his way into the BBL team of the year but all three players were equally important in what turned out to be an excellent season for the University of Worcester-based team.
