Completing a brilliant rookie regular season and continuing his scorching run of form, Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders star Ayron Hardy has retained the Molten BBL Player of The Month Award after landing it for successive months.

The winner of the accolade in March, Hardy also takes the award for his sterling efforts during April when he helped his team find their form and storm into the last four of the BBL play-offs.

It’s been a busy and gruelling month for Riders with no fewer than nine games but Hardy has consistently delivered top quality performances which is reflected in an average performance valuation score of 21.56 and also the fact Riders only lost once in the period.

While he managed to average 12.78 points per game at an excellent shooting percentage of 62%, it was helping his colleagues where Hardy truly excelled, helping his team crank things up a notch at both ends of the floor.

He led the BBL in steals during April with 2.8 per game and also dished out a magnificent 6.2 assists per game which was the second best average in the league.

Hardy also finished the regular season with more BBL Team Of The Week appearances than any other player.

An incredible contributor in every facet of the game, the multi-skilled wing man will now be looking to ensure his team finishes with some silverware since while personal glory is enjoyable, Hardy will know that team trophies are what count the most.

Riders will fight it out with Glasgow Rocks for a place in the BBL Play Off Final against either Newcastle Eagles or Cheshire Jets at the National Indoor Arena on Saturday 12th May.
